Do you know how many times I’ve watched these episodes of Doctor Who? I mean I’ve seen them again and again and again. It’s pretty ridiculous. And sometimes I’m just enjoying a good knit/crochet session on the couch and I can hear every word with the occasional glance. Sometimes, like today, I put it on as background noise so I’m not sitting alone in my apartment in the silence.

The strangest phenomenon happens. Episodes I’ve seen a hundred times before are suddenly different. It’s like I’m seeing them for the first time again. And the impact of the writing hits me outta the blue… like a two by four to the dome. Just a moment ago, I had this moment.

And these were the words.

The newest Doctor Who episode, “Turn Left” was amazing. OMG! The next few episodes are going to be insane!

My wonderful future husband David Tennant had better not do the whole die/regenerate nonsense.

As I’m reading through the newest Entertainment Weekly mag, I’m crushed by the fact that not only does Doctor Who not make it into the top 100, there was a plethora of CRAP on the list. Which makes me angry. Any reality tv show other than American Idol should NOT be on the list, but hey, what the hell do I know.

But oh, that clever man, Neil, he goes and says that the Weeping Angels are #3 on his list of New Classic Monsters.

Thank you sir, for not only mentioning one of the BEST episodes ever, but for mentioning the show in the first place.

And yay for Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy and Neil’s Sandman made it in the top 50 of the new classic books list.
